A "dancing bulul" is a rare and distinct variation of the traditional bulul, which are hand-carved wooden sculptures created by the Ifugao people of the Cordillera region in northern Luzon, Philippines. Authentic pieces are painstakingly carved out of a single block of dense, local narra or ipil hardwood. In Ifugao cosmology, narra wood is a powerful symbol of wealth, good health, and family well-being.
